Please note that the booklet that comes with the watch is older than the watch itself, dating back to the early 1990s. The 14060 was released in 1989 as the successor to the Submariner 5513, which had been a long-selling model for over 25 years. The movement was changed from Cal. 1520, which had a frequency of 19,800 vibrations per hour, to Cal. 3000, which had a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, to improve the accuracy and stability of the watch. In addition, the use of sapphire crystal glass increased the water resistance from 200m to 300m, and a unidirectional rotating bezel was adopted to improve the safety of diving. |
