Gibson ES-225TD Sunburst 1959 Used Electric Guitar

The "ES-225" is one of Gibson's earliest thin-body archtops. It features a 16-inch body and a trapeze tailpiece, a combination bridge and tailpiece found on early Les Pauls. It features a laminate maple body, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard. Despite its thin-body design, it delivers a powerful, lively tone. The trapeze tailpiece also contributes to a rich, expansive, yet somewhat rustic sound rarely found in other thin-body guitars. Both pickups have been replaced with Lindy Fralin P-90s, which complement the body's resonance perfectly. When plugged into an amp, they produce a pleasant tone that's not too dry, yet still feels fresh. While it's perfect for mellow jazz riffs, selecting the bridge pickup and driving the amp with it is also recommended.
