Ultimate Rare $5,400 w/tax TOM FORD Black Wool / Leather Accent Jacket, Incredible Details – Made In Italy

This stunning rare piece is the perfect mix of luxury wool with tonal black-on-black leather accents throughout (see reference details). It looks great when you wear it with the collar down, but even better with the collar up both for wind and to show off the leather detailing and signature Tom Ford leather grab handle included on his high end pieces (see reference details). It also features the signature Tom Ford double zips complete with leather TF pull. The black horn buttons feature tabs at the wrist, front and read to dial-in the fit. Tom's famous attention to detail is on display here; the standout detail has to be the vertical leather along the main zip, on full display when worn open or as an accent popping out when zipped (see photos)! 

Selling this for a friend – I would have to make room for it, but I have a similar one in my collection I have perfected with my tailor! 

Mr Tom Ford’s design philosophy is simple: don’t settle for anything less than perfection. And that maxim applies as much to a plain cotton T-shirt as it does a wool barathea tuxedo with all the trimmings. Achieving perfection, of course, is harder than it looks.

This is perhaps the most Mr Tom Ford-esque of Mr Ford’s statements. Mr Ford’s dogged commitment to perfectionism is renowned. And details? Well, those are the things that keep said business running. Menswear, after all, has long been ruled by strict conventions, and there are only so many ways you can reinvent a button-down shirt or chinos. Instead, it’s those tiny tweaks and improvements – a mother-of-pearl button here, a well-placed pleat there – that sort the bog-standard from the superior.

I worked my way up to lines like Tom Ford and there’s just no substitute, from the fit and details. I’ve seen so many guys wearing cheap to mid range versions that might look good from a distance, but fall apart up close. The best jackets just get better the closer you get and the details really come alive. It makes such a huge difference to your confidence, your overall demeanor and the attention/respect you attract. An investment like this is definitely worth the money.

While I’ve owned many high end leather jackets over the years, nothing else fits or feels like a Tom Ford.

I'm 6 feet, 194lbs for fit pic reference. I'm typically a comfortable size 50 EU (40 US) and fitted 48 (38 US). My tailor said I’m a natural 21 inch chest, 18 inch shoulder and 25 inch shoulder-to-wrist for fit pic reference. This is a tag size 48 IT (38 US). See below for measurements.
