This listing is for a set of 6 Antique MOSER Stag Engraved 22CT gold embellished HOCK WINE GOBLETS from around C1880. These are exquisite collectables for those who appreciate antique drinkware. Made in AUSTRIA, now part of Karlovy Vary late 19th century, these wine glasses feature intricate engraving and gilding, with a unique hollow stem and hollow stepped base design. The brand Moser is known for its high-quality craftsmanship, making these goblet chalices a luxurious addition to any wine lover's collection. The elegant design and historical significance of these wine glasses make them a desirable piece for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
The design in the engraving is extremely finely detailed with the stag and two flying ducks in the forest. Each glass is different as they are individually made. Some have the stag facing left and others to the right. The stem is intricate with hollow with a bulbous knop which has four raspberry prunts which have been carefully gilded. The stem is also engraved mid way with a circle of leaves as is the out edge of the base. The base is shaped with three steps each with a gilded rings. A veritable feast for the eyes and a delight to drink from and to admire as you and your friends raise their glasses.
MEASUREMENTS: Height 7” x lip diameter 3” x 3 3/8” base diameter
WEIGHT: 220g each approx.
CONDITION: Excellent condition with no chips, just some rubbing to the gilding here and there, commensurate with age and use. Please see all photos.

Moser Glass originated in 1857 as an engraving workshop in Karlsbad (now Karlovy Vary), Bohemia, Austria-Hungary, founded by Ludwig Moser. Initially focused on decorating glass blanks, the company grew to become a full-fledged glassworks after Moser acquired a factory in 1893. The company gained international fame and received royal warrants from European monarchs, including Franz Joseph I of Austria and Edward VII of England. The brand survived nationalization under communism after World War II, and it continues to be a world-renowned manufacturer of luxury, handmade, lead-free crystal glass today.
Founding and early growth
1857: Ludwig Moser opens an engraving and polishing workshop in Karlsbad.
1873: Moser wins a medal at the Vienna International Exhibition and is appointed the exclusive supplier of glass to Emperor Franz Joseph I.
1893: Moser acquires a glass factory in Meierhöfen (now part of Karlovy Vary), and the company begins producing its own glass under the name "Glassworks Ludwig Moser & Sons".
Royal patronage and international recognition
1908: The company becomes a supplier to King Edward VII of England.
1900: The company is recognized at the Paris World Exhibition.
1906: A collection of Moser vases wins first prize in Milan.
Throughout the early 20th century: The company continues to be a favored supplier to royal courts across Europe.
