Description

The Smart ITR module (P/N 222-289600) with integrated germanium (Ge) sample plate is a high-quality accessory for FT-IR spectrometers. It is used for compact and efficient sample measurement via total internal reflection (ITR), in which the sample lies directly on the Ge surface. This system is particularly suitable for solid or pasty samples - without scratching or sample loss due to the minimal sample set (2–4 µL). The germanium-coated plate allows very stable measurements in the mid-infrared range and offers high signal quality thanks to stable refraction properties.

The Smart ITR is connected directly to the spectrometer and is ideal for quick routine analyzes or qualitative secondary analyses, for example when characterizing polymer films, APIs, cosmetic powders or food waxes.
