Ceramic Stoneware Kula
Kulapepe Tiki Farm Mug With Earrings Green & Brown
For consideration is this
vintage tiki mug made by the Tiki Farm, located in San Clemente, California,
U.S.A., and designed by Squid, aka Daniel Esparza, in 2001. This mug is a
retired design and was the first to feature metal earrings. I believe the colors
are called Jungle Green, which is a green with mottled brown highlights, a
downturned mouth and large lidded eyes. His name is Kulapepe or Kula (see notes
below).
This mug measures a little
over 8 ½ inches tall, the mouth is 2 ½ inches in diameter, the base is 3 inches
by 3 inches, and will hold 14 ounces of liquid. The base is marked “Tiki Farm”.
It is in excellent vintage condition with no problems noted. Buyer will receive
FREE shipping.Thank you for looking!
NOTE from the Tiki Farm
website: Tiki Farm is the world's
largest designer and manufacturer of custom ceramic drink and barware
products. The company was founded in
2000 by Holden Westland. Tiki Farm products are collected worldwide and
regarded as a premium ceramic stoneware grade drinkware.
NOTE: Kulapepe is a Hawaiian word similar to the
Hawaiian phrase kula pepeiao, which means "earrings" or literally
"gold for the ears". The term is a Hawaiian-inspired name for this collectible
tiki mug and points to the actual Hawaiian word for "earrings."
