The bridge is a Flicker III, characterized by its smooth arm action, and the pickups are a Seymour Duncan STK-S7 stem type and a TB-16 humbucker. Buckeye is a species of horse chestnut (known in Japan as a related species, the horse chestnut) native to California and other regions, and the burl refers to the root knot. This burl exhibits a highly complex grain, but it is extremely brittle and difficult to process, requiring advanced processing techniques to achieve a beautiful finish. Due to the nature of wood, cracks and chips are inevitable, so large, noticeable areas are filled with synthetic resin to create a hybrid wood finish.
