About Car

The Mobil 1 SC, driven by Akira Iida and Tatsuya Kataoka, made a name for itself in the 2006 Super GT. Based on the luxury open-top sports car Lexus SC430, its dramatically transformed form features body panels made almost entirely of carbon fiber. It was powered by a 4.5-liter V8 engine mounted in the front and featured a transaxle that integrated the gearbox with the differential. In the third race, the Fuji 500KM race, the car overcame a 13th-place qualifying position to take second place and thrill the crowd.
