Hands for old dolls
jumeau model
The measurements are (see 2nd photo): A = 5.2 cm B = 7.3 cm C = 4.7 D = 3.3 E = 2.5
Compared to standard hands jumeau hands are thicker with slightly shorter fingers
Choose the size that fits your doll with the chart below. To order, you can ask me to make a pair of hands, with a different wrist diameter as well as to paint the hands as close as possible to the color of your doll's body. To do this, give me the diameter of the wrist opening of the forearm and send me a photo of the body so that I can try to get closer to the color, or better: send me the forearms so that I can adjust size and color. If your hands are not too damaged, it is best to restore them, I can redo the missing fingers, touch up the coating and paint. It won't be cheaper, but the advantage will be to keep the original hands....

The size numbers have varied depending on the manufacturers and the times. Do not trust the number on the back of your neck
The number of the size can be different from the size head number!
By order: I am able to change the size “E” and the color to adapt to your doll. You can send me a picture for the color and the measure for size “E” (Better is if you send me the forearms) Or if your doll hands are repairable, I am able to make missing fingers and color. Not cheaper but it is better to keep original hands)
Warning: To restore is got the object same as it was created, in past memory respect. Use Human hair or Mohair wig, mouth blown eyes or paper weight, if you change hands, choice creator model. If you use synthetic wig, acrylic eyes (or cheap: iris glass on white base) papier-mâché pasta instead of cork, etc… you reduce a lot the value of your antique doll!
Caution: to restore is to put the object back as it was made. By intervening as little as possible, while respecting the memory of the past. Use natural hair or mohair wigs, mouth-blown glass or sulfide eyes, if you replace the hands, choose the model corresponding to the manufacturer. If you use a synthetic wig, acrylic eyes (or very cheap: glass iris on a white base), papier-mâché caps instead of cork, etc. you are causing the market value of your old doll to drop sharply.
