1) Product Overview
This listing is for a pair of TELEFUNKEN ECC82 / 12AU7 tubes, 9-pin miniature (MT) type, medium-mu twin triodes designed for audio voltage amplification.
Typical characteristics: amplification factor (μ) 20, plate dissipation 2.75 W per unit, and heater voltage/current 12.6 V / 0.15 A (6.3 V / 0.3 A).
2) Product Condition
・Both tubes are genuine TELEFUNKEN products, supplied in white boxes.
・They are a matching pair with 17 mm smooth plates and the famous diamond mark molded into the bottom of the glass base.
・Original glass print markings have mostly faded, so replacement type labels are attached for identification.
・Please note: the test amplifier and power tubes shown in the photos are not included in this listing.
3) Testing and Performance
● Listening Test
Both tubes were installed as the first-stage voltage amplifiers in a test amplifier.
They produced clean, noise-free, distortion-free sound from both triode sections.
(Test procedure: residual noise check at minimum volume and noise/distortion check at normal listening level.)
● Transconductance (gm) Measurement
All tubes were tested using a TV-7A/U tube tester.
Results are as follows:
- Tube 1: Reject Value 56 / Measured ①106 ②100
- Tube 2: Reject Value 56 / Measured ①102 ②100
Based on the gm results, both tubes show excellent and well-balanced performance, with strong emission across all sections — classic TELEFUNKEN quality.
