The series of thermal anemometers TA2 from Airflow is made from materials of high quality. The modern conception of these devices is based on decades of experience with thermal anemometers and many suggestions from measurement technology. In principle, thermal anemometers are particularly suitable for low flow speeds, since they have no moving parts where mechanical resistors could be overcome. The difficulties of this measuring principle to compensate for the influence of the temperature of the flowing air on the measurement result was solved in the TA instruments by an additional, unheated compensation thermistor in the sensor.
TA2 devices are equipped with a telescopic probe that can be extended up to 93 cm in length. As a result, measurements can be carried out on otherwise poorly accessible aerial designs or in ventilation channels.
