Gino Charles was a line established in 1966 by Teal Gino Traina and Malcolm Charles Starr. The line was started to make American styles available in markets around the world and the cut of the garment was altered to fit the typical body type in each market. The line was designed by Alan Phillips.
This gorgeous couture quality cocktail frock is the epitome of great design by this famous design house. The only issues I can find are perhaps a very few missing beads and loose threads, not noticeable, and what may be a replaced zipper. Shown in the last pic, the stitching is done by hand, well done, but I doubt there would have been a white zipper on a dress of this caliber. Otherwise - no flaws. Sheer sleeves that fasten with snaps, two hooks and eyes at the neck and zipper top, fully lined. A beautiful coral-orange with silver and clear peach glass beads. A rare find with provenance - found at an estate sale, worn once by the mother of the bride in the late 60s. Could be worn fastened at the neck, or left open to the zipper.
My mannequin, for reference, is quite tall and measures 33" x 23.5" x 33.
