Note - If you are using the XP 500 to weigh carat weight, then this scale is not as sensitive as a true carat scale such as the PCT 101. For example the XP 500 will weigh 5 points at a time, so a 12 point stone will show as 10pt. And a 13 point stone will show as 15pt. It rounds up or down depending on the weight of the stone to the closest 5 point increment. This scale is sensitive and accurate in all other weighing modes as listed.
