Welcome to auction of a NVidia Geforce RTX 2080ti, which I think is faulty.
Bought in a ready made PC, it has a "Manli" stickers on one of its fans, so I assume thats the brand.
Was running fine in a non-gaming rig (connected to the TV for media playback), then one morning came down to no display coming out of the PC.
Rebooted a couple of times and Windows started but went into "Recovery Mode" and could not fix itself. Tried rebooting the PC again just got BOIS startup then black screen.
So next managed to reformat and reinstalled Windows 10 ok (via USB Boot), then it ran fine for another couple of weeks, but this morning same thing. No display output and Windows just boots to recovery, tries to fix itself then reboots to black screen.
I think what actually happening is windows updates have caused the pc to reboot, which has triggered the failure to reload windows.
But I think its graphics card related as I've just dropped in a simple Geforce 730 card to test the rest of the PC and now windows boots ok. And on one reboot attempt I did see some artifacts just after BIOS splash. When I finally took the card out it was warm (not burn skin hot, just warm) even though not running anything complex. So maybe its overheating???
Anyway no time/resources to investigage, so just up for auction with no reserve (and of course no returns).
On 26-Sep-25 at 10:04:54 BST, seller added the following information:Bit of an update. I bought a replacement card and I got the same thing at boot! (Bios then black screen). After trying a few things, eventually I tried turning off HDR (or Deep Colour as its called) on the LG Oled TV and that then if booted fine every time with the new gfx card.
So out of interest, I plugged this 2070 back in with the TV not using HDR and it booted to Windows first time too. I didn't leaving it running very long but it got past the boot phase which was the main problem I seemed to be having with it. Anyway I've got the upgraded card now, so this one is still for sale as is.
The weird thing is all used to work with HDR enabled and I've not changed the cables or TV etc. So I'm still not sure if this card is faulty or not. And I've not ran any games or intense 3D on it to test, so I don't know if it's got the overheating problem I initially suspected or any reliability issues beyond that. So still listing per original description.
(Relisted due to time-waster cancelling the purchase after the end of the bidding! Why bid???)
