We’ve been selling karaoke since 1988. That’s a long time! When I wanted to put my business phone number in the Yellow Pages the “karaoke” category did not even exist. I had to list the business under “Musical Accompaniment”. I’ve seen a lot of changes in these three decades. The formats that we have used to listen to our music has gone from cassette tapes and Laser Discs to Compact Discs w/Graphics, MP3+G and digital downloads. The good news for those that still have a karaoke cd+g player is that we still have thousands of discs still available, many of them are rare and hard-to-find, such as this one.
Darius Carlos Rucker led the band ‘Hootie & The Blowfish’ for over two decades and effortlessly switched over to the Country Genre of music in 2008. Since then Darius has placed song after song onto the Top Country Songs Chart. In fact his first single ‘Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It’ went to the number one position, making him the first black artist to have a number one hit since Charley Pride in 1983. And the hits kept coming - ‘It Won’t Be Like This For Long’, ‘Alright’, ‘This’, ‘Come Back Song’, and ‘Wagon Wheel’ all held the number one spot. When you mix in the karaoke versions of his other great songs off his five country albums you get a selection of songs bound to please any contemporary country music fan!
PLEASE NOTE: The following songs are NOT the original tracks from Darius Rucker but are professionally produced re-recordings in the style of the originals minus the lead vocals.
