INTENTIONAL THERMAL STRATEGY

Our design prioritizes airflow efficiency and improved acoustics by introducing larger passageways and optimized internal cable management resulting in 20% quieter operation, on average, and 7% lower temperatures compared to the Aurora R15[2]. This approach — combined with air or liquid cooling CPU options — contributes to an incredibly smooth gaming experience.

GAME COOL AND QUIETLY

 
Central to the Aurora R16's thermal strategy is the increase in its ventilation's total surface area. This increase is the driving force behind the desktop's efficient airflow, cooling and acoustics.
Larger pathways​
The side hexagonal array, top surface exhaust, and the front stadium intake all provide significantly larger pathways for ambient air to enter and heat to be exhausted.​
 
240mm heat exchanger
The 240mm heat exchanger, available on the optional CPU liquid cooling, heightens thermal resistance, ensuring temperatures stay consistently low during longer gaming sessions.​
 
AlienFX liquid cooling​
120mm and 240mm AlienFX enabled liquid cooling options are also available. These units add two additional lighting zones that can be customized and use hoses with premium braiding.
 
 

TOTAL COMMAND

The Alienware Aurora R16 is our first gaming desktop to include the revamped Alienware Command Center software, where you can create and edit AlienFX lighting across the ecosystem, choose and monitor your performance mode across distinct power states, and create custom gaming profiles for your whole library.
