By adopting a rear‑open acoustic housing structure that does not acoustically block the housing, internal reflections inside the headphones are reduced, enabling accurate soundstage reproduction as intended by the creators. Additionally, a large acoustic register is used in the opening that connects the front and rear of the driver unit to optimally control ventilation. This design eliminates spatial resonance, achieving natural and rich bass reproduction with minimal coloration.
The diaphragm shape and its corrugation were derived through multiple rounds of simulations and prototyping, resulting in a diaphragm with low distortion and high compliance. It offers strong fidelity in the lower frequencies, yet allows for very high frequency and high-sensitivity reproduction. Also, the structure includes ducts on the rear side which maintain separation between midrange and bass while delivering sufficient richness and a quick, tight bass response.
Comfort is enhanced with ear pads made of suede‑like synthetic leather, which feel soft to the touch and are suitable for long periods of use. Building upon years of headphone development experience, weight reduction has been carried out in detail to bring both stable wear and comfort when worn.
The cable is detachable, using a screw‑type locking ring for a secure connection structure. The ear pads are user‑replaceable. Replacement ear pads are handled as service parts.
The cable plug uses the φ6.3 mm stereo standard plug widely used in production settings; with the included plug adapter, it is also possible to connect to devices with φ3.5 mm stereo mini‑jack like PCs, smartphones, Walkman® etc.
