In 1882, the Myers brothers exhibited their pumps at the Ohio State Fair, winning the highest award for the best pumps. Two years later, Philip won a patent for a hay carrier, which evolved into a lucrative line of Myers hay tools.
Fair Condition for its age. The cast on this one is great, however, the wheel itself is old, chipped, and has an replacement pin and cotter pin in it. Marked "O K 8". Cleaned but may have some minor surface rust. Wheel does not turn.
Measures approximately 9" in total length, 7" without loop.
Cast iron is 4" wide.
