I've used high quality embroidery floss for the floral landscape. The sky is needled felted.

About the artist:


I’m a North Wales based artist. I started out painting, many, many years ago. I developed an interest in tactile mediums and developed a love of fibre craft, textiles and embroidery. This naturally progressed into mixed media expressions of art.

I take inspiration from nature and emotional connection to it. I’m fascinated with mediums that manipulate light in unusual ways and experimenting with the meeting of scale, perception and order.

I create many of my own 'wool palettes'. Most of the fleece I use I prepare myself from fresh ‘raw fleece’. I usually source fleece from rescue farm sanctuaries or farms, and then I clean, hand pick and scour the fleece. Once clean, I hand dye my ‘wool paints’. I often spin my own yarn to use in my own artwork also.
