☆About Wajima-nuris
Wajima-nuris, lacquer ware made in Wajima, is a world-widely famous lacquer ware. They are featured by solid because they are made from raw lacquer, paste made by rice, and diatomaceous earth (small sized powder so-called by Ji-noko). Basic materials such as bowls, cups and mags are basically made of zelkoba, a kind of cypress. In order to protect lacquer wares, linen is wounded on the corners of the bowls, trays or any other lacquer wares. Many layers of lacquers are painted after being dried. Therefore, it takes time normally for half a year.
