❓ 1. How do you choose the right drill bit for wood?

MONOLITHIC DRILLS:

  • Drill 60mm (S060M1) - very small drill bit for occasional splitting of small clamps up to 10-15cm Diameter

REPLACEABLE TIP DRILL:

  • Drill 80mm (S080K2) - Standard size for typical home applications, is great for splitting clamps to 30cm diameter, a motor with 3kW
  • Drill 90mm (S090K2) - a medium size between 80 and 100mm, is good for splitting clamps up to 40cm diameter, a motor with 3-4kW
  • Drill 100mm (S100K2) - most chosen drill bit for agriculture, where more wood is to be split and versatility is required, splits clamps to 50cm and larger, an engine with 4kW or larger

REPLACEABLE TIP DRILL - TWO STAGE:

  • Drill 80mm + 125mm (S125K2) - consists of an 80mm drill bit + 125mm extension with different angle, supports splitting the 80mm drill bit on difficult types of wood
  • Drill 80mm + 150mm (S150K2) - consists of an 80mm drill + 150mm extension with a different angle, is longer than its predecessor and is even better suited for splitting difficult types of wood, metre wood
  • Drill 100mm + 170mm (S170K2) - consists of a 100mm drill + 170mm extension with a different angle, which provides excellent support for the work of the 100mm drill for difficult types of wood, metre wood

❓ 2. I have an electric motor, which drill is suitable?

  • Motor 2.2kW = Drill 60mm, possibly 80mm if the clamps are split small and rarely
  • Motor 3kW = Drill 80mm, is the best choice for continuous operation
  • Motor 4kW = Drill 100mm, is the optimal choice for continuous operation
  • Motor 5kW or more = You can use any of our drills up to 170mm

You can use any of our drills ranging from 80 - 170mm

❓ 4. How to choose a drill for the clamp diameter?

  • Clamp up to 15 cm = Drill 60mm or larger
  • Clamp up to 30 cm = Drill 80mm or larger
  • Clamp up to 40cm = Drill 90mm or larger
  • Clamp over 40cm = Drill 100mm or larger

Of course these are recommended diameters, you can use a different size - but splitting might be less efficient
