Change the filter:
1. Allow engine to be off for at least 15 minutes. This will allow the fuel pressure to be at zero and sufficient cooling off for service.
2.Wrap the fuel filter canister with rags, just below the seal location.
3.After removing hardware, there's still sufficient and or significant suction on the unit so the lid or top will not release. By using a screwdriver carefully work into the lid area and carefully free the lid by both using a lifting pressure with the opposite hand and a gentle twisting motion with the driver.
4.By using the rags to sneak into the canister, will prevent the diesel from spilling.
5.Carefully and vertically remove the filter.
6.Inspect the container for debris, clean and replace the filter into the canister.
7.Remove rags and manually inspect for leaks by (engine need to be started) and placing fingers around the seal area.
