This appears to be a field lens assembly for lasers.
The optics are clean and clear, I cannot see any issues.
The lens came to me with a batch of optomechanical parts I purchased.  I had no idea the lot included this behemoth.

I took photos of it at various angles and fed the images to various AIs.  One of them suggested this was from an ASML device for lasers which was close enough.  The other AIs generated total rubbish.
The engraving on the lens reads: Objective 500258-003 S/N 613
I looked up the part number and found one result from a website that sells Zygo interference objectives, a "Zygo® 50x TC, Mirau, S/N I 500258".  This was a total coincidence, as the serial number would have nothing to do with the part number.
After some digging, I found a render image and an image of the actual assembly.  It looked IDENTICAL to the thing I have.  However, it had a generic label calling it a "laser surgery lens".  Searching for this yielded nothing useful.

The serial number of 613 surely means there are at least a thousand of these out there.  I am surprised to see zero results.  Any information regarding this thing will be highly appreciated.  Please send me an eBay message if you know what this is.  I have no idea how to price it.

This also proves that AI will not take over.  None of the AIs knew what this was and none of them generated an exact hit.  In the end, I would have found the results with or without AI writing gibberish.

This thing weighs 8 kilograms.
The two images through it were taken with a Nikon camera and a 24-120mm lens.  You can see typical laser field lens aberration.
The coatings look identical in colour to another part I acquired with this lot of items.  https://www.ebay.com/itm/187320183081
And it looks similar to the thorlabs scan lens I have: https://www.ebay.com/itm/186626891141
Because of that, I assume this is optimised for 800-1100nm.
This will likely work exceptionally well as a massive FOV field lens for optical coherence tomography or laser scanning microscopy (OCT and Confocal/LSM).  Emphasis on likely.  I do not know what this thing is used for.
