For sale is a pair of SHIMA STRATO VENTED Motorcycle boots, size 10.5 / 44. I've used these on several motorcycles over the last two years, never for more than 3 hours, never fallen, never got wet.
These are large for the stated size: I wear an 11 boot, and these are not close to tight. If I wanted a close fit for these boots, I wore heavy hiking socks.
These are vented. There's noticeable airflow in the foot area when riding above 35-40 mph. These are NOT waterproof; this is not that model. They are water resistant. They are leather and mesh materials.
They are excellent for HOT weather, and so long as you chose your socks, they're fine down to 45 degrees or so. They're NOT for winter riding unless you have a way to block the air flow. (??)
The "boa" works slick. I love that feature. They are comfortable for the ride and for walking about. They are not for hiking.
The flat soles work great for standing on the pegs.
There's two areas of noticeable wear:
(1) The left boot boa cable is shedding it's plastic coating in one small spot. This can be seen in one of the photos. It does NOT interfere with the operation of the boa. There is a set of replacement cables with these boots. Replacement is very easy; instructions are on the web; but essentially you pull up and take the knob off, untie the old cable from the spool and pull it out. Lace in the new cable and thread it into the spool, then push the knob back on. Done.
I just don't see it's time to replace that cable. There's years of service left in the one that's there; but I supplied the new cable anyway so they buyer has it.
(2) The left boot has some very minor scuffing from the shift lever. There's a photo of that as well.
Notes:
I usually ship same or next day. I've allowed for 4 days just in case.
If you make an offer and it's immediately declined, you're offering below my minimum acceptable bid.
