Outlet for V-belt pulley with a diameter of 28 mm/groove 8 mm – suitable for V-belt pulleys 2 x 13 mm or 2 x 17 mm, secured with a circlip!

❓ 1. When should I choose a shaft with left-hand thread and when with right-hand thread?

  • Choose a left-hand thread if you want the circular saw blade to rotate clockwise (viewed from the side of the nut).
  • Choose a right-hand thread if you want the circular saw blade to rotate counterclockwise (viewed from the side of the nut).

In this way, the nut tightens, preventing loosening during operation.

❓ 2. What line speed should the circular saw blade have?

The recommended line speed for circular saws for cutting wood depends on the type of wood (dry or fresh) as well as the specifications of the blade. Generally accepted values are as follows:

  1. Cutting Dry Wood: Line Speed: of 50 m/s to 100 m/s. Higher speeds (closer to 100 m/s) are preferred for larger saw blades and for more precise cuts. This makes it easier to achieve a smooth cutting surface and increases work efficiency.
  2. Cutting fresh (wet) wood: Line Speed: of 40 m/s to 70 m/s. Speeds are slightly lower as fresh wood is softer and stickier. Working at lower speeds reduces the risk of jamming, overheating and resin sticking, as well as moisture on the blade.
