❓ 1. How do you choose the right hook for wood?

MONOLITHIC HOOKS:

  • Hook 60mm (S060M1) - very small hook for occasional splitting of small blocks with a diameter of up to 10-15cm

CHANGEABLE TIP HOOK:

  • Hook 80mm (S080K2) - Standard size for typical household applications, well suited for splitting blocks with a diameter of up to 30cm, we recommend an engine with 3kW
  • Hook 90mm (S090K2) - Intermediate size between 80 and 100mm, well suited for splitting blocks with a diameter of up to 40cm, we recommend an engine from 3-4kW
  • Hook 100mm (S100K2) - most common hook for farms, where more wood is to be split and versatility is required, well suited for splitting blocks with a diameter of up to 50cm and larger, we recommend an engine with 4kW or larger

CHANGEABLE TIP HOOK - TWO STAGE:

  • Hook 80mm + 125mm (S125K2) - consists of 80mm hook + 125mm attachment with a different angle that helps split the 80mm hook on difficult types of wood
  • Hook 80mm + 150mm (S150K2) - consists of hook 80mm + attachment 150mm with a different angle, is longer than its predecessor, which further facilitates splitting difficult types of wood
  • Hook 100mm + 170mm (S170K2) - consists of hook 100mm + attachment 170mm with a different angle, which supports the work of the hook 100mm well on difficult types of wood

All of the above hooks can be used successfully on a tractor

❓ 2. I have an electric motor, which hook is suitable?

  • Motor 2.2kW = Hook 60mm, possibly 80mm if the blocks are small and splitting is rare
  • Motor 3kW = Hook 80mm is the best choice for continuous operation
  • Motor 4kW = Hook 100mm is the optimal choice for continuous operation
  • Motor 5kW or more = You can use any of our hooks up to 170mm

❓ 3. I have a tractor with PTO, which hook should I choose?

You can use any of our hooks ranging from 80 - 170mm

❓ 4. How do you choose the hook according to the diameter of the blocks?

  • Blocks up to 15cm = Hook 60mm or larger
  • Blocks up to 30cm = Hook 80mm or larger
  • Blocks up to 40cm = Hook 90mm or larger
  • Blocks over 40cm = Hook 100mm or larger

Of course these are recommended diameters, you can use a different size - but splitting may be less effective
