Scarce issue of Smash! comic - silliness, wackiness, fun and adventure! Smash! comic began its long run in 1966. This is an early issue, No 26, dated 30th July, 1966 (it was weekly). It is very nearly 60 years old. It has a very colourful comic strip of the dynamic duo "Batman with Robin The Boy Wonder" on the front cover, along with society's enemy The Joker. It is printed both in colour, and black and white, and has been stored in our loft for many years, out of daylight and dust, so the colours are good and vibrant. Just the one owner. I have shown all 28 pages, above. Paper pages and cover.
Smash! included famous characters from Marvel comics, such as Batman and Robin, and The Incredible Hulk.
Comic strips featured are: Batman and Robin, Bad Penny, The Telly Bugs, The Rubber Man! Charlie's Choice The TV Set With A Difference..., The Incredible Hulk Vs The Metal Master, Grimly Feendish The Rottenest Crook In The World, Write to Smash (letters page), Rollo Stones And Danny Charters... The Legend Testers, Ronnie Rich, Percy's Pets, Meet... Mister Knowall, The Swots and the Blots, The Nervs, The Ghost Patrol, Danger Mouse, and Queen Of The Seas.
Also inside: Half-page advert for Lyons Maid Famous Motor Cars Album with Zoom lollies, and a half-page ad for Action Man / Action Sailor outfit and figure.
The comic is larger in size than The Beano, Dandy, etc..
Very nearly 60 years old. No cut-outs. No inscriptions. All pages are present. It's a nice copy, in neat, tidy condition. Both staples have rusted; staple indentations; There is an almost imperceptible tear which I didn't even notice on the front cover (until I took photos) - which I have noted with a black stick in picture 6 of my pictures above; on front cover there's a small tear (by the words "The Boy Wonder") centre left, which is the beginning of a imprint 'dent' which runs throughout the comic - please see my pictures above, including picture 14.
Wear to spine, edges, corners. Pages nice and bright inside. I am always honest about my items. Please see my pictures above, where I have done my best to show this item as honestly as I can.
