This is a k-type thermocouple wire with yellow Kapton insulation, which is stable up to about 400 degree C Celsius or 752 degree F Fahrenheit. This k-type thermocouple wire can be used to make your own K-type thermocouple for a wide range of applications, or to make your own K-type thermocouple extension wire. The chromel alumel wire is made to standard Type K thermocouple specifications.  Withe the wide measuring range this Type K thermocouple wire is used in a wide range of scientific and industrian applications. It can be used in the laboratory or for science experiments, as well as for machines, oven, soldering and heat equipment. The electrical insulation properties allow the use in electornics and battery development.
