🔸️Place boards, also known as target boards, pivot boards, boundary boards or dog training platforms are an incredibly versatile and invaluable training aid for your dog. The place boards are suitable for all dog breeds and puppies. The place boards play a valuable part in our gundog training. They are a great training aid to have available!
There are many benefits to using a dog training place board. Here are some examples:
• Help and support training and obedience exercises. • Promote a positive 'place' for your dog regardless of how the handler chooses to reward. • Enables clear communication between handler and dog. • Teaches the dog where to be at certain locations in relation to the handler. • Helps the dog to learn training commands such as 'sit' or 'stay'. • Helps with retrieval delivery to hand. • Can assist with directional work when using multiple place boards. • Promote a positive target to recall back and sit directly in front of the handler. • Can be used in the home which is beneficial for puppies to limit outside distractions in the early days of training. • Help to keep the dog focused and calm. • Promote a positive overall training experience.
🔸️Practice makes perfect so the more training you do, the better your dog can learn and grow in confidence! But very importantly, regular training is an excellent way to develop a close bond between you and your dog which will last a lifetime! A well trained dog is a happy dog and a pleasure to own! 🐕 😀.
🔸️The place boards are made to order, brand new and handcrafted by Neil to a high standard in the UK 🇬🇧. 🔸️The place boards are strong, sturdy and stable which is vital for your dog to feel confident and secure when stepping onto it. They weigh approximately 4kg and are easily portable.
🔸️The tops are made using 9mm Oriented Strand Board (OSB/Stirling), covered with a quality sourced nonslip 28mm thickness artificial grass surface or a 6mm astroturf surface.
🔸️The base is constructed of treated timber, making the place boards suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Some blemishes and wood knots may be visible in the timber but this is due to the natural grain of the wood and how the timber is treated. Because of this no place board will ever be identical.
🔸️The approximate size of the place board is 24" x 18" x 2" (60 × 45 × 6cm) (sizes may vary slightly as the item is handcrafted, but this is minimal). This size can comfortably seat many dog breeds. Please view our other listing if you would like a smaller place board for puppies or smaller breeds such as cocker spaniels.

🔸️The place boards can be fitted with a multicoloured nylon rope handle or a metal handle if you would like either of these additional extras.
