Made of "Setoyaki 瀬戸焼" porcelain and handmade at Tsubakigama(椿窯) in Seto-city(瀬戸市), Aichi prefecture, Japan. A natural glaze called Haiyu (ash glaze), made from plant ash, is used.

Handmade at Tsubaki kiln(椿窯) in Seto city, Aichi prefecture, Japan.
The item is expressed only with a natural ash glaze and no pigments are used. It has a simple, warm texture that goes well with all genres of cuisine.
The glaze is primarily made from pine wood ash. Because the ash contains a high amount of iron, it produces a soft, natural celadon color.
You’ll be surprised when you pick it up — and even more surprised when you look at the bottom! It also makes a beautiful interior piece and looks great with accessories placed on it.
