This listing features an exceptionally rare and historically significant 1936-1937 Zippo Square Model lighter, distinguished by its unique Metaliq application on the top of the lid. This is a complete, deadstock (unused) example, accompanied by its remarkably rare original 2nd generation Zippo box (pre-Windy box) and instruction manual. This early "Diagonal Line" model with its distinctive Metaliq finish represents Zippo's pioneering era, making it a highly coveted piece for serious collectors. Condition

This item is deadstock (unused). The chrome-plated brass case features a 4-barrel hinge, diagonal lines, and a C-clip. The Metaliq finish is present on the top of the lid. While unused, there are minor scuffs on the case from storage, but the hinge is in excellent condition with no dents. The bottom stamp reads "PAT.2032695".

The inside unit is a seamless, chrome-plated brass with no markings, a 14-hole chimney, a Daruma cam, a coil spring (with excellent tension), horizontal teeth, pure cotton without padding, and a small-head flint screw. The cam's return is slightly stiff, but this does not affect functionality.

The original 2nd generation box (pre-Windy box, famously replicated) is in beautiful condition with almost no tears or scuffs. The early instruction manual is also in excellent condition. All components are in their original condition.
