Automatic Turntable

The unit starts when the record size button is depressed, but the tonearm does not move to the record. It rises from the cradle, then lowers back to the cradle and shuts off. 

When moving the tonearm manually, before it lowers back into the cradle, it can be placed on the record, and it plays correctly. At the end of play, the tonearm will automatically return to the cradle.

I cleaned and lubricated all the moving parts, but to no avail. Because the mechanics of this turntable exceed my abilities, I chose not to try any adjustments.

I will include excellent copies of both the operating manual and service manual.

The last photo shows, what I believe, to be a chemical stain. Otherwise, the dust cover is in good condition.
