This 1944 World War II era prayer book is in excellent condition. The only defect noted was a slight separation on the back inside cover end paper in one corner, upper right - see last photographs. There is a pencil mark on in the upper corner of a front flyleaf page. The three edges of the book are gold leaf. The beginning of the book features an excerpt from a letter by Pope Pius the 11th (XI). The spine is tight. The cover shows almost no wear from handling .

The book does appear to be a leather bound edition. And as stated above is in excellent condition. Sold as is.
