entirely possible that this book has never been read.

Ratings vary from seller to seller. These are mine for paperback books.
Like new = I didn’t see any dents, bends, scuffs or markings
when I looked at it.
VG+ = Maybe a teeny dent at a corner, but something you’d
grab off a shelf at a store and not think twice.
VG = Probably has a few tiny dents to the corners, spine, or
edges. Cover might have light fading or scuffing. Might have owner’s name
inside. Biding fully intact. Might have light page browning.
Good = Might have light foxing, very minor damage to a page
or two. Might be ex-library with few library markings. Might have a few text
markings.
Acceptable = Might have binding starting to crack,
significant foxing, significant text markings, some cover damage. Might be
ex-library with lots of library markings.
Garbage = Full binding separation, significant stains or
damage, intolerable odor.
