Fantastic historical United Nations 25th Anniversary United Nations Sterling Silver Medal, ND (1970). The Medal is about the size of a Silver Dollar (not included.) The Medal is about 38.5 mm across, and weighs about 26 g. 

The Obverse of the Medal Features the UN Secretariat Building with a sculpture of a man beating a sword into a plowshare. The Inscription around reads: МИР СПРАВЕДЛИВОСТЬ ПРОГРЕСС (PEACE JUSTICE PROGRESS) in the 5 official Languages of the UN. 

The Reverse depicts the Emblem of the United Nations - the Inscription Above the emblem, surrounded by the words "UNITED NATIONS" written in five working languages of the UN, reads: 
ОБЪЕДИНЕННЫЕ НАЦИИ (UNITED NATIONS TWENTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY 1945-1970). 

This medal has plain edge, meaning it is of the rarer kind struck at the Wellings Mint, in Rexdale, Canada. The Medals with edge lettering were struck at the Franklin Mint.
