About Grizzly G0765 and all 7" x 14": This lathe has a different belt cover. It is very close but
not the same.
Other 7" X 14" two speeds likely have this slightly different belt cover as well.
for now I would suggest asking for a price without the cover and plan on machining your own cover.

Sold complete with all the adapters required to install in the original motor location of the above
2 speed mini metal lathes. This allows for complete reinstall of all threading gears and auto feed systems.

Each one is custom built when you order. When the build is complete, it will be tested for 20 minuets.
Any defects found during testing will require a complete new build. This insures you likely will not have to
deal with returns and exchanges due to manufacturer defects.
All parts required to build are In stock. That means if it is listed as available, it is because we have enough
parts to build at least two. We also stock extra parts in case of warranty. 

The horsepower improvement is incredible.
Kinda like replacing the small block with a big block in your Mustang/Camaro muscle car. Just pure power, so much so
that you will never use all of it. This system provides full power at any speed and that includes Spindle RPM's as low as
50 RPM's in low gear. You may want to consider the high low gears inside the head and at least lube them with a high
end sling free grease.

Motor and spindle speeds + Reverse:
The motor speed can be programmed and or full range can be achieved with just the speed control rotary knob on
the controller:
Speed control programming only requires a few easy steps.
Reverse is simple, just hold the yellow button for a few seconds.
Programming includes the ability to set bottom and top RPM range separately. In other words you can program the
system to run the spindle at any speed or range of speeds you choose (see below).
Slowest speed achievable: Motor 200 RPM
Highest speed achievable: Motor 4.500 RPM.

This listing is for a fully alpha tested system.

System includes:

  1. A new 750 watt motor like the one seen here in photos. Motor will come with the motor mount
    installed This will require adjustment to fit your lathe. It will also come with the small timing pulley installed on it using a 4mm key-way and main shaft nut.

  2. A new 2024 control computer with internal speed control.
    This control unit is built by The Custom Crafter. It includes a thermal overload system with reset function. (see photos).
    Make note: Color of the reset rocker switch is orange or green. If it is not, it does not have thermal overload protection.
  3. The Custom Crafter made in the USA motor mount. (installed on motor, see line 1).
  4. Mounting hardware includes thick washers and grade 8 nuts.
  5. One anodized aluminum intermediate shaft timing pulley machined by The Custom Crafter to fit (see photos).
  6. One anodized aluminum motor timing pulley machined by the Custom Crafter to fit the motor (see photos). Comes preinstalled on motor (see line 1). This gear is the result of 100's of already in use systems. It is the final design and is flawless.
  7. A new L050 1/2" wide timing belt.
  8. A custom machined belt cover plate to allow for the larger belt.
  9. The new 2024 control computer (driver) comes programmed to optimal performance settings for this lathe. Programming instructions and fault codes are also provided on line by The Custom Crafter. Includes recommended settings.
  10. Assembly instructions. There will be a web address for a video and a text number for direct assistance from the custom Crafter. 

Assembly requires some technical skill to include minor machine work.
Note: Check the photos in this listing. See the red lathe (image 11). If your lathe has holes instead of the normal slots, this motor will not fit without your ability to slot the cast iron lathe bed. Additionally if you return this item for this reason, you will pay shipping both ways.
  1. You will need metric and domestic allen wrenches + a 13mm/1/2" deep socket and ratchet.
  2. Some shorter/longer/better quality allen head metric bolts (not included) may also be required, especially to clear the timing belt as the belt cover is machined thinner to allow for the larger belt.This means do not over tighten and check first to make sure your bolts are exactly the right length and thread. This is because many manufactures use inferior bolts. These inferior bolts will be slightly too long, too short or most common just a few thousands too small in diameter where they will pull and damage threads.
Notes:
  1. This system has so much more power that it becomes tempting to see just how much you can cut in a single pass. Do not do this because the rest of the mini lathe is not built strong/stable enough for this kind of abuse. If you jam it, you may damage the lathe to include broken cutters, parts and the control unit.This is abuse and no refunds will be issued for damage caused by abuse.
  2. All lathes are dangerous, increasing the horsepower increases this danger. 
  3. It is your responsibility to insure fit and proper application. We make no guarantee of safety, application or that this product is suitable for your intended use.

Each one is built to order when you purchase it. This usually means it will ship out within 48 hours of your purchase.
All parts are in stock. If it fails inspection, I have to build another one as nobody wants to deal with returns.
This can take an extra day before it ships.

Returns:
  • Buyer has 10 days from the time he/she receives this item as shown by tracking to request a return authorization.
  • Seller usually responds in under 24 hours + buyer will have sellers text only phone number.
  • Buyer has 10 days ship time to have the return at the sellers address. 10 day period starts when seller issues the return authorization.
  • Seller will inspect returned system and if it passes, seller will issue a refund of the purchase price less shipping. (buyer pays shipping both ways)
  • Main components have a unique warranty tamper proof seal and internal water soluble identification mark. No refund will be issued if it is missing or removed.
  • All original parts and packaging must be returned to get a refund.

Parts returned will be inspected for unique identification mark and or abuse. If found to be abuse or missing the identity mark, no warranty exchange part will be provided and buyer will be required to pay shipping to get their parts back. Warranty exchange parts may or may not be new but instead refurbished or demos that I have from previous builds. Warranty exchange can take up to 60 days as some parts may not be in stock and require ordering from overseas. Warranty starts on the day eBay records the system as paid and not the date the item is actually received.

  • Servo Motor. - I will exchange a defective servo motor for up to 60 days. Buyer must return the motor + the control unit + the speed control switch for inspection and testing. Additionally original packaging such as Styrofoam package inserts must be used to return these parts. 

  • Computer control unit. - I will exchange a defective control unit PCB for up to 60 days. Buyer must return the motor + the control unit + the speed control switch for inspection and testing. Additionally original packaging such as Styrofoam package inserts must be used to return these parts.
    Note: Cutting too much material will result in a jam. This may damage the main board. This is abuse and it is not warranty. This damage is obvious. If you return a control unit and are honest about jamming it, we will fix it for you one time for a flat fee of $45 including shipping it back to you. You pay to ship it to us.

  • Timing pulleys, motor mount and aluminum adapters. - I will exchange or replace these items at no cost or limited cost to buyer as follows. Buyer will be asked to provide photos. If photos are accepted seller will ship replacement parts at no cost to buyer. If photos are not accepted seller will ask buyer to return parts at buyers expense for inspection before seller warranties these parts.

  • Timing belt and small parts are not covered. Customer alterations and machine work are not covered and may void the above warranty.

We will ask a few questions and then sell you the correct replacement parts at discounted prices. Optionally we will ask you to return the control unit for repair and repair it for you at $45 plus shipping.
