How We Craft Our Extracts

We make our unique herbal extracts right here, on-site, using time-honored methods that steep for 90 to 180 days. We ethically gather all herbs at their peak potency.

Unless otherwise noted, our extracts are crafted with 80-100% pure grain (corn) alcohol (40% ABV). If you prefer to avoid alcohol, simply add your dose to a small amount of boiling hot water, tea, or coffee and stir. The alcohol will evaporate almost completely within about a 1-3 minutes. The alcohol content in an average dose of our tincture is roughly equal to the amount found in a ripe banana.

Are Our Herbs Organic?

All our herbs are 100% pure, free of pesticides and herbicides, and are never fumigated or irradiated. They're also non-GMO.

Our extract ratios are prepared as follows:

  • Dried Leaf and Flower: 1:1 ratio of herb to menstrum

Extract Lifespan

Alcohol-based tinctures can last virtually a lifetime if kept away from heat and light, typically staying potent for 7 to 10 years based on common storage results. Can be refrigerated after opening. 

Suggested Dosage

This is up to you and your healthcare provider. Generally, dosages are 20-60 drops added to hot tea or hot water, one to four times per day, or as advised by your healthcare practitioner. 

How to Take Your Extract

Always shake well before use. (There can be micro amounts of plant material) You can add drops to hot tea, coffee, or juice, one to four times daily, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner. You can also administer the drops under your tongue for direct absorption into the bloodstream.  Many customers even add it to their morning juice!

Why Does My Extract Look Cloudy?

Our extracts are made in the "old-fashioned," traditional way. It's completely normal for some extracts to appear cloudy or have suspended particles (particulate matter). Also, herbs can vary slightly in color and taste from season to season. Just shake well before using!

Drop Count per Bottle & Milliliter

  • A 1 oz bottle typically contains 700  drops of extract on average. 
  • One milliliter (1 mL) generally contains 25-30 drops, though this can vary slightly by extract.
  • So usually 30 servings in a 1 fl oz bottle. 


Milligrams Per Dose

Since our herbal extracts are made in the traditional way, giving precise milligram (mg) amounts per dose is difficult. Generally, the mg amount is represented by 1 milliliter of extract (about 25-30 drops). Remember, quality is more important than quantity. We suggest starting with the lowest suggested dosage and gradually increasing it based on your body's reaction to the product. Some people are allergic to certain plants, so start low and go slow.

We accept returns for unopened extracts, tinctures, within 7 days from the date of purchase. For tinctures, the original shrink wrap must be intact and untampered. If the shrink wrap is broken, or if the bottle has been opened or used, we can't accept the return, nor offer reimbursement or a refund. Loose herbs or teas aren't eligible for return.

Please keep your delivery confirmation as proof of delivery to us. If you attempt to return any item that's been opened, used, or damaged due to buyer inattention, we won't accept the return.

Shipping & Return Costs

While many of our items include "Free Shipping," there's always an inherent shipping cost. If you return an item that follows our return policy, your refund will be for the cost of the product only, minus the original shipping fee. For returns that don't meet our policy criteria, the buyer is responsible for all return postage fees, including any "return to sender" charges.
