This is a vintage, hardcover edition of Henrik Ibsen's "Peer Gynt.” It published circa 1936 by J. B. Lippincott & Co. in Great Britain. The book has the wonderful illustrations of Arthur Rackham, a renowned illustrator known for his intricate and whimsical artwork.

The book is in good shape given its age. The binding is intact and firm and pages are clean. There is 1 page that has a tear in the middle of the page (see photo). All other pages are free of tears The cover has signs of wear consistent with its age. Of note, the top edge of the spine cover has a small (less than 1/2 inch) split in it (see photo).
