  • Only add R-134a to the low side (blue). "R134A flow" depends on the pressure differential between the can and the system. The can "cools" and the can pressure drops as you add it to the system slowing the flow of gas. Some people flip the can over and add liquid to speed things up, but if the liquid doesn't disperse before the compressor it can destroy the compressor. The slowing is not due to the valve or any other tool, it is just how it works.

Our can taps will work on all the different r134 cans you can find. Perfect when you realize your old Can Tap Fittings won't work on the new EPA-mandated Self-Sealing Can. We ran into that problem and couldn't find a Can Tap made specifically for the self-sealing cans so we launched ours. Save your money and buy quality the first time. You don't want it to break right when you realize you needed to add that second can. We made sure to supply a valve core remover that worked on small cars and large trucks, and we got the best tools we could find.
