Vintage early 1950's Harmony Monterey archtop acoustic guitar fully restored. This early 1950's Harmony Monterey archtop acoustic guitar has a solid pressed spruce top and a poplar neck. The back and sides are solid birch. The neck is straight, and there are no humps or buzzing frets up or down the rosewood fretboard. The neck width at the nut is 1-3/4 inches. The neck profile is a very comfortable medium "C" shape. The body width is 16-3/8 inches at the lower bout.

This beautiful Harmony Monterey has been fully restored. The back was removed in order to re-glue loose braces and to repair a few back cracks and a small warpage at the bottom. The solid, one piece poplar neck was completely refurbished with new MOP inlays, a new modern two-way truss rod was installed along with a complete refret using medium wide/medium high nickel silver frets. The neck was then reset, and a new cattle bone nut was fitted. Only spot finish touch up was done to cover any bare wood. There is no overspray and the original, very thin, finish has been preserved.

All of the hardware, except for the bridge, is original. It has been setup with D'Addario PB 12-53's. The strings are a little old and may need to be replaced, otherwise, this gorgeous Harmony Monterey H1456 archtop is now in fantastic playing condition, and is ready for another seventy years of making great music.

There is no case included in this listing, however the guitar will be packaged safely and securely for shipping.
