Dequadin Lozenges 24's (Tablet) - Orange Flavour

 

A throat lozenge is a small, typically medicated tablet intended to be dissolved slowly in the mouth to temporarily stop coughs, lubricate, and soothe irritated tissues of the throat, possibly from the common cold or influenza.

 

Dequadin lozenges is to treat mouth and throat infections, such as oral thrush and tonsillitis.

The lozenges help relieve a sore throat, mouth or tongue.

Dequadin lozenges contain an antiseptic medicine called Dequalinium chloride kills a wide range of bacteria, yeasts and fungi that are associated with various mild infections of the mouth and throat.

Sucking a lozenge allows the dequalinium to work directly in the area of infection.

Adults and children over 10 years of age should suck one lozenge every 2 to 3 hours as needed. It also lubricates and soothes the painful area, which helps relieve soreness and discomfort.

The most common causes of sore throats are viruses.

Viral sore throats are often accompanied by other cold symptoms that may include a runny nose, cough, red or watery eyes, and sneezing.

Other causes of sore throat include smoking, pollution or irritants in the air, allergies, and dry air.

 

Dosage:

One tablet to be sucked slowly 2 to 3 hourly or as required

 

Each tablet contains:

Dequalinium Chloride 0.25mg

·      Glucose

·      Sucrose

Dequadin lozenges are not suitable for:

·      Children under 10 years of age.

·      Do not take more than eight lozenges in 24 hours.

·      Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.

·      Warning: Do not exceed the stated dose.

·      If you have diabetes take note of the sugar content of the lozenges.
