Offered in this listing -   This is a new handmade (by me) One-of-a-Kind (no two exactly alike) clay pottery whistle (2 hole ocarina) in the shape of a head or face.  I call this one "Smiley," because he looks so darn happy. 

I do not use a mold, each whistle is made one at a time by hand.   A primitive, naive, folk-art art piece delivered direct to you from the artist (that's me) 

This whistle is 3-3/4" long when measured from end to end.  It is about 1-3/4" when measured from bottom to top of head.   This one emits a very sharp clean tone whistle.  You can get at least 3 notes from this whistle by covering the holes on top and alternating (no holes covered, one hole covered, both holes covered).  

There is an additional hole on the bottom which creates the whistle (the protrusion on the back of the piece is where you blow, the air flows over the bottom hole creating the whistle sound).  This bottom hole should never be covered or there will be no whistle. 

The piece is made of stoneware clay and has been glazed and then fired to cone 5 to create a strong, somewhat rustic or "primitive" long lasting whistle (2 hole ocarina).  The color is light brown with touches of blue/green ish, but mostly light brown.  It has a matte or semi-gloss finish.  

Be assured the whistle will be shipped via USPS in a strong box, well protected to prevent breakage in transit.
