The oil-proof, waterproof, and dust-proof coating is so strong that it can be wiped with an ordinary cloth, and it is especially nice to be able to quickly wipe off oil, etc. from your hands and move on to shooting. Half of the filter has a light-reducing effect. With hard edge GND filters, the transition from dark to clear is very noticeable, to the point where it can even resemble a straight line. It will seem very much as though the top half of the filter is darkest, while the middle has a thin lighter strip and the bottom half is clear. The darker areas of this filter are ND8. The specification of Hard GND has a slight gradation effect from the center of the filter, and the maximum ND8 value corresponds to a wide range. It is often used photographing in seascape photography. Also, when shooting with the ocean or a lake in the shot, you can use two ND filters at the same time to increase the exposure time.
