The Flashing Starman has noticeable marks on the top of the head, legs and sides, which appear to be to correlate the custom packaging of it which is lined when a synthetic black material. It would suggest in the time it’s been placed in their pigment has transferred to the figures- they leave some room for some movement of the figure inside its packaging which is understandable.

However I have made a reduction in the price, have wrapped them in tissue paper to prevent any further staining and have provided pictures of each individual lamp for you to examine. Fortunately because this figure is made in relief the affected areas do not look an issue, but merely shadows. Upon close-up inspection they do become noticeable and you want to rub them clean. I tried that- gently- and then a usually effective stain rubber- neither had an effect but then I didn’t want to worsen it.

The areas could be painted and I’d recommend dry brushing with just regular white acrylic. It is easy to apply, will maintain the Matt finish of the lamps, unlike the Starman Vases which are glazed and would negate repainting the entirety of the lamps surface- that could very easily become a hatchet job and something to avoid. I might try this and if it works I’ll update the listing or leave you to address yourselves what to do at the discounted rate. Please examine all of the photographs prior to purchasing- hasn’t have been my most thorough condition appraisal. It’s most definitely the cloth as the fronts of each lamp, which had no contact with the material and packaging, are virtually pristine. As I say I’ve wrapped them in tissue paper so there won’t be any furthermore markings.
