Two years ago, I began collecting tickets from the 50 Greatest Upsets in College Football history. I used the list from PSA which comprises of games from 1921 to 2011. There is high probability that there have been upsets in CFB since 2011. At some point, the list may need to be amended. In a year's time, I have collected 38 out of the 50, but also some extras, which I will offer on eBay. I am happy to answer questions about the tickets and collecting all 50. I have already encountered many of the remaining 12 tickets that are difficult to obtain, extremely expensive, or non-existent. PSA does have a pop report on some of the tickets which have been submitted for grading. But others have no pop report as of 2025.
Up for sale is a ticket from the September 1, 2007 first regular season game between the Wolverines of Michigan and the Mountaineers of Appalachian State. It was played at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor Michigan. There was no betting line on the game as the Michigan victory was predicted to be so certain and dominant. But, Michgan lost the game 32-34 to Appalaciian State of North Carolina. In addition to being the 36th Greatest College Football Upset chronologically, some have labeled the game as the Upset of the Century.
The ticket is a full ticket. The ticket is VG. There is creasing in at least five spots, mainly on the borders and the background. There is an impression across the "98" of Tom Harmon's jersey. There is no writing on the ticket. There are no tears. The ticket is centered on the front and displays nicely. The printing on the back appears off center, but I believe all the season tickets were printed that way.
Ticket shipped in a semi rigid ticket holder, protected with cardboard and in a bubble mailer. Returns accepted if original item returned in original condition. Always combined shipping available for multiple items purchased. If final price determined through negotiation, buyer has 4 days to pay, per eBay guidelines.
If shipping is less than the eBay calculation, I refund the difference when receipt of the item is confirmed. This amount varies, but is usually $1-2.
