The owner of this photo album, as inferred from the caption, was born in the Kitakamigawa River area around 1893,

He was born in the Kitakamigawa River area around 1893, and went to the United States in 1911 as a high school student at Ichinoseki Junior High School. After working as a schoolboy and in wheat and cabbage fields, he joined the Mikado Club baseball team (Seattle) in 1916 and opened Fashion Craft Tailor in Seattle in 1917. In 1920, he participated in the Mikado Baseball Club's first tour of the United States and visited Waseda University, where he took a commemorative photo of himself and Isoo Abe, the head of the club. He also took commemorative photos with the University of Chicago baseball team invited by Waseda University at the Imperial Hotel and other places. In 1921, the fourth Waseda University expedition to the U.S. was led by Director Isoo Abe. There are photos of the Waseda University baseball team members at the University of Washington Student Club, and also photos of the Waseda University baseball team against the Vancouver Asahi Club and the Waseda University baseball team against the Mikado Club.

The second expedition arrived at the port of Yokohama just after the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923. Along with a photo of a guard ship in Yokohama Harbor, he witnessed the boarding ship, the Arizona Maru, being turned around to Kobe with 1,200 disaster victims on board. The “1923 Shuttle Midori team came to Japan and won 5-0” mentioned in the history of the Waseda University baseball team on the Internet is assumed to be the Seattle Mikado team.

He then returned to Japan and opened a clothing store in Kyobashi Ward, Tokyo in 1926 and created a baseball club. In 1927, at the age of 34, he enlisted in the 31st Infantry Regiment, 8th Division (Hirosaki). There is a commemorative photo of him running a marathon in front of the Hochi Shimbun newspaper in 1929, probably during the Hakone Ekiden (relay race). In addition, there are many photos related to Sakurai Women's School, which are very rare. There are also photos of the Aoyama Apartments around 1930, climbing Mt. Fuji, skiing, golf (in commemoration of Prince Arisugawa), a rugby match, tennis, and photos of the Yasuda residence after the earthquake, a tent hospital in front of Miyagi, and the site of a clothing store.

Finally, there are several photographs of Gunji Fujimoto, a famous automobile racer, with a seaplane that flew over Kasumigaura in 1924 as part of the Air Service USA World Flight.

In total, there are approximately 519 small format photos (handbill size or smaller), 49 medium format photos (cabinet size), and 19 large format photos (larger than cabinet size) in the three books.
