This wonderful and rare photo of the Statue of Liberty is from a 1956 issue of American Heritage book.

Words underneath photo: The Statue of Liberty in Paris, 1884.

Towering over the roofs of Paris, the Statue of Liberty is shown nearing completion in the courtyard of sculptor Frederic Auguste Bartholdi. The next year she came to America as a gift of the French people.

This single page with photograph was carefully rescued from the damaged book mentioned above. Edges were trimmed. Page now measures 7 1/2" x 10 1/2". Actual photo copy measures 6 3/4" x 8 7/8". Reverse side of page is intro page for the American Heritage 1956 issue.

I'll place the single photo page inside a plastic sleeve and add a piece of white foam board for protection, while mailing by USPS Ground Advantage in a bubble envelope.

I'll mail the same day, or next day payment is received. Thank you for considering one of my eBay items.
