A unique and beautiful antique Japanese large porcelain dish is hand painted with a textured enamel finish. The enamel/paint has a very light luster. I have yet to see anything like this on any auction site.
It was my grandmother's, who lived from 1905 to 1999. Her husband, father, and grandfather were all officers in the military and traveled the world.
The dish has a hand painted red seal mark painted on the base. The dish is offered in fine condition with minor rubbing to the gilded rim.
Japanese, Imari with unidentified seal mark to base.
Late 19th or early 20th century.
