RARE ANTIQUE YELLOW WAX FOR IMPRESSIONS THE S.S. WHITE DENTAL MANUFACTURING CO. HALF POUND SIZE TIN CONTAINER WITH LID PATENT APRIL 29, 1879 SOMERS BROS. BROOKLYN, NY

This is a rare antique yellow colored tin container with lid that advertises for a dental product and company. This tin was made by the renowned tin maker, Somers Bros. out of Brooklyn, NY and has a patent date of April 29, 1879 on one side. Tin advertises on the top lid for Yellow Wax for Taking Impressions Half Pound from The S.S. White Dental Manufacturing Co. of Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Chicago, Brooklyn, Atlanta, Rochester, Berlin, Buenos Aires and St. Petersburg. Tin has some crazing in the paint but it is in good condition overall for its age and displays nicely. Please see pictures for design and condition detail. Measures 2" tall by 3.5" square.
