DESCRIPTION
The resistance value of NTC Thermistor decreases with increasing temperature. This characteristic can be utilized to make both temperature measurement, temperature compensation and temperature control components, as well as power type components to suppress the inrush current of the circuit. This is because the NTC thermistor has a rated zero power resistance value, when it is connected in series in the power supply circuit, it can effectively suppress the power-on inrush current. Moreover, after the inrush current suppression is completed, the resistance value of the NTC thermistor is reduced to a very small value by utilizing the continuous action of the current.

Nominal Resistance
The nominal resistance value is the resistance value for which the NTC thermistor is designed and is often marked on the surface of the thermistor. The nominal resistance value is the zero-power resistance value at a reference temperature of 25°C, so it is also known as the resistance value R25.
